In this journal club meeting we discussed CRISPR. We looked at how it works, what it can be used for and how it has been discovered. We also discussed potential implications and need for regulations should this technology be used for gene editing in humans.
We also reflected on one year of journal club. We've had 17 meetings since August 2016 on a broad range of topics.
This meeting took place on Thursday 31st August. Number of attendees: 8. Jenny brought cake.
The next journal club is scheduled for Thursday 14th September.
